We support our customers to expand and secure bioscience business!
|
There is a concentration of numerous universities and research
centers in the Kanagawa area centered in Yokohama that have
sophisticated biotechnology seeds as well as bioventure startups
and other enterprises involved in commercialization and support
industries.
Our objective is to promote innovative R&D, create products
in succession, activate the local economy and contribute to improve
the quality of life by reinforcing the network comprised of those
who are the driving force of bio-business.

The City of Yokohama positions
the promotion of R&D in the biotechnology and life science
fields and support for commercialization as some of the highest
priority policies in the city and is seeking to promote "the Life
Science City Yokohama"
The City has thus far focused efforts on the formation of bio-cluster
by developing incubation facilities, promoting industry-academia-government
collaboration, organizing strategic joint research projects that
contribute to the improved health of the local citizens, developing
network promotion organizations, etc. This project will be implemented
as a part of these activities. |

| Also, this project is organically
allied with the Metropolitan Bio Network Japan
(secretariat: Japan Bioindustry Association), which is organized
for the purpose of nurturing and supporting bioventure startups
as a part of the Industrial Cluster Program, advocated and promoted
by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Collaboration
with the various projects sponsored by the network and industry-academia
and industry-industry collaboration involving the membership
of more than 400 bioventure businesses are also actively supported. |
